Demo and Crit ( Sorry about the recording. ) I owe you guys an extra class

Ana - Week 1

Unfortunately due to my poor time management I wasn't able to do all 25 this week. Here are the ones I have; my main problems are drawing way too fast and too messy. I will finish the rest along with next weeks assignment.

My question is:
How can I get the landmarks right when the pose is more complicated?

Ron - Week 1

Here is what I have for this week. I started out on the tablet and it was just too slow and difficult for me.  Moved to paper and was much happier.  Still not very fast, but the repetition has been helpful.

Chris Chang - Week 1

Questions:

1. When drawing in the torso shape, do you lock-in the center line or do you consider a more general flow line (or line of action) to help direct the shape and then add in a more precise center line later?

2. I have a problem continuing the flow of the body through the head, I often straighten out the head a bit too much and it creates interruption. Any tips on making the head and torso work well together?

Class Demo and ref

Hey guys :)  Here's the class demo and some reference pictures.  I want you to work on standing poses only so you get accustomed to drawing the full Eric.  25 figures.  Your main focus will be in proportion.  It's okay if your drawing stiffens a little.  We will focus more on gesture ideas next week.  One thing at a time :)  If you need references you can go to  http://www.onairvideo.com/croquis-cafe-photos2.html :)
